This piece was the second packaging project I had done for the MOJO awards gift sponsored by Ford Transit.
Always wanting to better my previous efforts, this idea was based on replicating an old 80’s vinyl record case. I had one in my loft… Well actually it’s my brothers but he doesn’t need reminding it’s there. So photographed it all the way around.
I engineered the packaging so it would open as the actual case did. The top flips up and the half the front section drops forward so you can flick through your lost gems.
In this case however we had to house some sweets and a miniature model Transit so I created two flight case based packages to fit neatly inside.
The finished article was matte laminated, the handle and buckles embossed and the chrome and Ford oval spot uv’d to enhance them.
